Words or pictures. Which are more powerful? It’s a debate that has raged since the invention of photography. Decafnation believes in both, and the unique potential of each to evoke emotion or effect change.

Decafnation dedicates this special page to photography. It will feature some of my work and the work of selected Guest Photographers.

My interest in photography began during the 1960s in the darkroom of my father’s small-town newspaper, where I developed the film he shot on his Speed Graphic cameras. I’ve been taking pictures ever since. I’ve staged exhibitions at the Comox Valley Arts Alliance, the South Puget Sound Community College Art Gallery and at Olympia Arts Walk. And once taught an introduction to photography adult education course.

We welcome submissions from photographers who want to exhibit work on this page.
